Record Low in Florida!

Morning Beta Testers! I just returned from a quick trip out to Tampa. I went to college there so it was a reunion of sorts. I know a lot of our beta testers are from Central Florida because we met you all at CHA. What was with the COLD weekend!?!?? I still managed to have a blast, but it was really cold!! One of the nights was a record low for the month of October at 48 degrees. I could stay in Chicago for that weather. In fact, it’s warmer here! Everyone kept reminding me that they NEVER have weather like that…the last time they had bad weather was when I visited in July. That time there was a record amount of rain! If I hadn’t lived there for 4 years I would not believe all of you Floridians about the weather ;)

Anyways, I am glad to be back working on ScrapHD. I plan to put more backgrounds and embellies up this week from our Design Team. Right now we have four amazing digital/hybrid designers on the team. Amy Teets, Danielle Young, Laura Burger, and Kelly Shults. You can find their designs in the builder by clicking to add backgrounds/embellishments/frames and then choosing ‘Designer .’ You should check out their kits! We’d love to hear what your favorites are. Also, if there is anything you’d like to see added we are all ears!

Have a FABULOUS day!

Hi everyone! Ross here to say hello and see how our beta testers are hanging in there??  Some of you have been very quiet and we understand it may be because we’ll be wiping the slate clean before we officially launch.  Rest assured, we’re working extremely hard behind the scenes to bring you the best hybrid scrapbooking website in the world.

There are so many things going on and we’d love to scream them all out to the whole world, but now’s just not the time.  I like to think of it as a horse race and right now we’ve got the future Breeder’s Cup champion being groomed and in training on the home turf (behind the scenes).   We have a lot of confidence in our development team and have given them a laundry list of site improvements we’d like to see.  Most all of the suggestions came directly from all of you, so thank you for your input.

We will definitely be launched before the end of the year (planning on sometime in November but hate making promises we can’t keep) and have some huge plans for CHA this year.

Stay tuned for important updates and in the meantime please continue to play around with the builder application and let us know what you like/don’t like, or what seems to be intuitive and what remains difficult to navigate for you.

On a more personal note, I’m having a fantastic day after getting myself back in workout mode after about 6+ months of pure ScrapHD development.   It’s easy to make excuses when you’re so in love with what you do, but I finally decided to try an “at home/at office” workout dvd since the majority of the time in Chicago it’s difficult to find a treadmill or machine that’s open when I want it.

I had scheduled myself to run the Chicago marathon on Oct. 11th ‘09  about a year ago, and yeah, that didn’t happen!  I’m not sure if it will next year, either, because I’m soooooooo dedicated to helping everyone here at ScrapHD get our very own marathon completed.

What I love about being web-based is that we can be working on versions that have yet to be seen and then release it when it’s ready overnight without having you all download anything to your computers.  That night is coming soon, and then we’ll be right back to work on the backend and always be bringing our future Club Members fantastic upgrades.

I hope you’re all as excited as we are.  Please trust that we’ve got something special in the works for all of you and we’ll be bringing you the most affordable way to enjoy hybrid scrapbooking at its best!  Oh, and I shouldn’t forget, the easiest and most customizable way, too!

Thanks everyone for playing around – please help us by continuing to build and publish pages so we can see your incredible layouts.

Cheers!

~ Ross

Beta Testing is Back!

It’s been quiet on the blog for the past week, but it’s been craaaazy busy behind the scenes. I apologize for the beta testing down time we’ve had the past few days. We are doing a lot of testing and upgrading. Even when we are up and running you may run into instances of slow processing or things not working right. Please continue to report any issues. We are aware of many of them, but want to know about all of them.

Right now Ross and I are working another tradeshow, but this time in Kansas City. We LOVE the responses we have been getting. There are more people than ever dabbling in digital, but the Hybrid Designs approach sure does draw a lot of people in! It’s truly the best of both worlds and I couldn’t be happier being a part of it. I know I keep promising things to come, but believe me, there is a LOT in the works!!

If you met us at the booth we’d love to hear from you! Just send us a comment through here or use the feedback button on the site. You can post to the forum or send us private messages. I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it a lot more…we want to hear your feedback – the good, the bad, and the ugly. With your ideas and suggestions we will be able to bring you the most powerful application on the web :)

Thanks for all of the positive support out at the shows. We can’t wait to launch the site for you guys!

Greetings From Glendale!

Hi Beta Testers! This is your live report from the ScrapHD booth at CKC in Glendale!! Ross and I are having fun showing off the site and recruiting more beta testers :) We had a long day yesterday traveling and setting up the booth, but it’s worth it. This was the first show that he and I were setting up on our own….it took us a (long) while to do, but we were proud when we finished! Our goal is to finish in HALF the time next week at CKC Kansas City. Now that we’ve done it once it should be a lot easier.

In case you haven’t seen us at any shows yet here is a look at the booth

What do you guys think??
