Win a framed 12×12 print!

Today is a rainy, dreary day here in Chicago, so to brighten things up I’ve decided to start a new contest! I hope you’ll play along! If you decide to enter you’ll have the chance to win your layout printed on 12×12 ScrapHD photo paper! Not only that, but we will frame it in a shadow box and send it to you so you can display your work at your home or office! You’ll have the choice of a black or white frame! (Pictured 12×12 layout hanging on wall in white frame). These shadow boxes are awesome because they look great hanging on the wall or sitting on a shelf. You can also add embellishments on the inside or decorate the outside to make it hybrid!

We will choose 2 random entries (one from Facebook, one from Twitter) when ScrapHD reaches 1,000 Facebook fans and again when we reach 600 Twitter followers! So get your entry in and help us reach those numbers!

Here are the details…

-CREATE A 12×12 LAYOUT USING SCRAPHD
You can start from a blank canvas or a theme. There are no requirements as to what you should scrap about, just make sure it is something you’d like framed! It could make a great Mother’s Day or birthday present!

-PUBLISH YOUR LAYOUT TO THE SCRAPHD COMMUNITY
Make sure you choose ‘Public Access’ when you publish
When you save your layout you can tag it with the keywork Contest 406 (this will help others browse through the entries, but is not required)

-BECOME A FAN OF SCRAPHD ON FACEBOOK or FOLLOW US ON TWITTER and share your entry with us there!
You can post the direct link to our Facebook Wall. If you share it on twitter make sure to @ScrapHD us!

You can enter as many times as you’d like. Each entry you post to Facebook and Twitter will be counted. You can get a bonus entry for both drawings by commenting on this blog with a link to your layout(s). When we reach 1,000 Facebook fans we will choose a random entry from Facebook. When we reach 600 Twitter followers we will choose a random entry from Twitter.

Adios Winter – Welcome Spring! (contest)

Ok, WHO is ready for SPRING!!!??? (My hand is waving frantically in the air :) ) I always consider St. Patrick’s Day the beginning of Spring in Chicago. You can (sometimes) get away without wearing a jacket on St. Patty’s day, Easter and Mother’s Day are right around the corner, and everything is just a little brighter! So I thought a contest to welcome Spring would be appropriate. Um, goodbye Winter. It’s been grand, but some of us have had enough..

So here’s the deal: Log into your ScrapHD account right now and start creating a Spring Scrapbook. It can be anything that reminds you of the season! You can use the pre-designed theme templates or start from scratch. It doesn’t matter just as long as you get votes.

This contest ends on March 31st so be sure to get yours done before then!!! Oh, and what would a contest be without a PRIZE!? Scrap Your Pet Winner!

Has anybody been wondering who won the February Scrap Your Pet contest!? Today I am excited to announce the winner!!! If you aren’t familiar with the contests we hold yet then listen up! Basically, we want to help encourage your creativity by constantly holding new contests. Anybody is eligible to enter – just create a scrapbook and submit it! (find a tutorial to learn how to submit here). Once you’ve submitted your work others can vote on your scrapbook. Submitted scrapbooks will have 5 butterflies underneath them. Anybody with a free or Club Membership on ScrapHD can vote once per scrapbook/per day. 5 butterflies is the best and the scrapbook with the most butterfly votes will win whatever the prize for that contest happens to be. Scrap Your Pet – Contest!

You’re seeing it here first, the email on this isn’t going out until next week! I thought if any of you are snowed in or have extra time this weekend you could get started on your scrapbooks!!

We’ve noticed a lot of you have been creating layouts featuring your pets – sooo we thought we should run with the theme and make that our next contest! Here’s how it works: Scrap Your Pet!

  1. Create a scrapbook featuring your favorite pet…If you don’t have a pet get creative!! We won’t judge you for featuring a random animal ;)
  2. Save your scrapbook and publish it ***make sure you publish it for Public View in order to enter it into the contest***
  3. When you open this scrapbook you will now see an option to enter it into the ‘Scrap Your Pet’ contest

WINNER: The winner will be chosen by the ScrapHD Community. The scrapbook with the most Butterfly Votes at the end of the contest will win!

PRIZE: If the chosen winner is a ScrapHD Club Member he/she will win $50 to spend with their favorite scrapbook retailer!
If the chosen winner is not yet a Club Member he/she will win 1 Free Month as a Club Member!

Bind-it All WINNER!

I haven’t forgotten that today is the day to announce the winner of the NEW BEGINNINGS contest!! I’m proud to announce that Heather (aka scrappin_in_AK) won with her New Puppy scrapbook! You should seriously check this scrapbook out if you haven’t already. I immediately fell in love with Willou, the Chocolate Lab! So did a lot of other people, too! You can see by all of the comments Heather received on her scrapbook. So check it out and let her know what you think or send her a congratulations on winning! She won a Zutter prize pack with a pink Bind-it-all, a 12×12 Cover All and an 8×8 Cover All. New Beginnings Sneak Peek

Hello everybody,

I am writing this today from snowy Denver, Colorado! I came here for a quick weekend with an old friend. She’s having her first baby so I made the trip out for her baby shower. I’m glad I did because I was asked to be the baby’s godmother! I am so excited for them and honored to be such an important part of the baby’s life :)

On another note, I named this post New Beginnings Sneak Peek because I can’t seem to keep it in that I know who is winning the contest! Have you entered yet?? Do you want to know if you’re in the lead?? I might just tell you who is winning at the end of this post ;)

I think I know WHY this person is in the lead right now. She happened to post the link to her scrapbook ALL OVER the web! She put it on Scrapbooking forums, her facebook, her blog…and asked people to vote for her. So simple and I love it! It was pretty smart of her because the scrapbook with the most butterfly votes wins. What better way to get votes than to let your friends and family see what you’ve created!?

So here are some of my suggestions on getting votes
-SHARE THE DIRECT LINK WHEREVER YOU CAN! When you click on your scrapbook to view it in the Community, you will see a Direct Link Code and an Embed Code. When you copy the Direct Link code and paste it in an email or on websites it will take people directly to your scrapbook. Some popular sites to post the link on include: YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE, YOUR TWITTER PAGE, YOUR BLOG, COMMENT ON MY BLOG, THE SCRAPHD FACEBOOK FAN PAGE, THE SCRAPHD TWITTER PAGE, EMAIL IT TO YOUR CONTACTS, POST IT IN FORUMS..The list goes on and on! Am I missing any??

It is proven already with our first contest that the one who shares their scrapbook in the most places will get the most action! So go enter your scrapbooks and share them with the world! Hey, it’s the simplest way I’ve seen to win that bind-it-all and you still have a few days!

So who is in the lead so far for the contest!?!?!?!?

It’s still anybody’s game, but the adorable NEW PUPPY is in the lead. Get your votes in by the end of the day Feb.10th. You can vote once per scrapbook per day. You can vote 1-5 butterflies with 5 being the best. I can’t wait to see who wins! I’ll write a blog about you :)

Does anyone read Oprah’s magazine? I love the article she writes every month about what she knows for sure. This one is silly, but one thing I know for sure is that FREE is GOOD! :) That’s why I want to remind you guys of all of the contests going on right now that could win you a FREE Club Membership for a month! New Beginnings Contest! UPDATED 2/4/10

Happy Saturday, Everybody! I hope you’re having fun on the site so far! If there is one thing you’ll learn about me at some point on this site it’s that I LOVE butterflies (and Golden Retrievers). I always have, ever since I can remember. Most people probably think that it is just because they are beautiful or pretty, but it’s really more than that. To me, butterflies have a lot of symbolism. They symbolize change (one of my favorite quotes: “Without change the world would have no butterflies”), they symbolize what lies ahead, and give us hope for new beginnings. I could go on and on, but I’ll stick with that :)

Our first contest on ScrapHD is all about New Beginnings in honor of our launch. We are a brand new site, but what is new for you?? We want you to scrap about your new baby, your new job, the new year, etc. Be creative and tell us a story about your new beginning! The winner will be chosen by the ScrapHD Community and will win a pink Bind-it-All, and 2 Album Cover-All’s! (one 12×12 and one 8×8).

SO….HOW DOES IT WORK!?!?!?

To Enter:
Go to ScrapHD and log in
Click on Create A Scrapbook
Create a Scrapbook with a ‘New Beginnings’ concept
Click PUBLISH to Publish your Scrapbook to the ScrapHD Community (you must make it public to submit it to the contest)
-when you save it you might want to name it ‘New Beginnings’ so everybody knows right away you entered the contest, but that is totally optional-
Next, Click OPEN from the builder and find the scrapbook you just created. Where it says SUBMIT TO CONTEST Click the green arrow to submit!

TO VOTE for the winner follow these steps:
Visit the ScrapHD Community and click on CONTESTS
Choose the New Beginnings Contest
You’ll then see all of the submitted scrapbooks for that contest. When you click on a scrapbook to view it you will see 5 Butterflies for voting. Choose 1-5 butterflies to vote on the scrapbook. The scrapbook with the highest score by the end of the contest will win! (Please note, you can only vote once per day/per scrapbook) so get your friends and family to vote!
